With a Spoon Austin

This week Austin started eating rice cereal. We weren't really expecting him to do much with it other than spit it back at us. The first time I put the spoon to his lips he opened up his mouth like he'd always eaten from a spoon. It's not all sunshine and roses; he does do his fair share of smiling and letting the cereal ooze out around the grin. He also likes to get his hands involved which can make for a sticky situation, but overall it's going well.

We'll stick with eating cereal one time a day for a bit, so he has a chance to get the hang of it before we move on to vegetables then fruits. Here are a couple of pictures of his first introduction to a spoon.

This is the same high chair we used for Brenna. It's interesting how many things we bought for her that weren't pink or pastel. It's almost as if we knew there would be a little boy who wouldn't take kindly to sitting in a pink high chair. I'm not sure how Brenna survived all the navy blue in the high chair and swing. Perhaps that's why she has such a penchant for pink and purple now.

How cute!! And Brenna is even there eagerly watching, encouraging, & helping. She is such a good big sister.

Miss and love y'all!

Lots of love, hugs, & kisses,
