Brenna's Big Girl Room

In preparation for the new arrival to our family, we moved Brenna from her old room, "the nursery", into the guest room. We were able to use the same comforter she had, but added a new dust ruffle, curtains, shelves and wall appliques. It took about a week for her to feel comfortable in her new space, but now she loves it. She helped paint the shelves and put the appliques on the wall. Many thanks go to Grammie, Polly's Mom, for shopping until we dropped to find just the right material and appliques. Who knew we'd hit the mother load at Walmart? Grammie also gets props for designing the curtains and dust ruffle just from looking at a picture in a pattern book...amazing! Brent had the honor of hanging the curtain rod and holding up the mattress while I switched out the dust ruffle. Me, I was the sewing mistress, taking orders and managing the painting of the shelves. All in all, I'm very happy with the end results. Good to have that project behind us before Austin arrives!
